• Account data: Email, display name, role, profile photo

• Watch data: Films watched, watch duration, completion rates (used for filmmaker payouts)

• Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We store subscription status and tier only.

• Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system (for analytics and fraud prevention)

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Indie Frame Network platform
  • Process subscription payments and filmmaker payouts
  • Calculate fair filmmaker revenue shares using watch session data
  • Personalize film recommendations
  • Send transactional emails (payout notifications, subscription confirmations)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and copyright infringement
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data with:

  • Stripe: Payment processing and filmmaker payouts
  • Cloudflare: Video delivery and stream security
  • Supabase: Database and authentication infrastructure
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery

Watch Data & Filmmaker Payouts

Your watch session data (minutes watched, completion rates) is used to calculate filmmaker payouts. This is a core feature of our transparent 65% filmmaker revenue model. Individual watch data is never publicly displayed — only aggregated statistics are shared with filmmakers via their analytics dashboards.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Watch session data is retained for 36 months for payout calculation purposes. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting privacy@indieframenetwork.com.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact privacy@indieframenetwork.com to exercise these rights.
